IndusInd Bank CEO resigns: What's next for shareholders? Nikunj Dalmia breaks it down
INDUSINDBK d Bank MD and CEO Sumant Kathpalia on Tuesday (April 29) resigned with immediate effect. He took the moral responsibility of accounting lapses in the derivatives portfolio of the bank. The lapses have caused financial implication of Rs 1,960 crore to IndusInd Bank.
Commenting on the recent development, ET NOW Editor-in-chief Nikunj Dalmia has said that banks have derivative losses and it is something which we have unfortunately seen at a global level as well. In this case, the point is that a lot of messages are floating... there is a problem in bank, there is a problem in the balance sheet and there is a problem in terms of the basic franchise value?
