UltraTech Cement Expands Electric Truck Fleet

ULTRACEMCO
: The company plans to scale up supply-chain electrification by deploying a fleet of 600+ heavy-duty electric trucks by December 2026. The electric fleet is expected to transport around 5 million tonnes of clinker annually, supporting the company’s efforts to reduce emissions from logistics operations. The initiative is projected to deliver a net CO₂ reduction of more than 1,17,000 tonnes per year. The move strengthens UltraTech’s focus on sustainable logistics while supporting its broader decarbonisation strategy and reducing dependence on conventional diesel-powered transportation. Stock Commentary: Positive; the large-scale adoption of electric trucks can improve UltraTech’s sustainability profile and reduce emissions from its logistics operations. While the immediate earnings impact may be limited, lower dependence on diesel and long-term logistics efficiency could provide operational benefits. Impact: Positive
