Adani Enterprises is in focus after its airport subsidiary, Adani Airport Holdings, announced plans to raise around $1 billion (₹9,825 crore) from a consortium including Temasek, BlackRock-managed funds, Alpha Wave Global and Premji Invest. The transaction values the airport business at around $18 billion before the investment.
The funds will be used to modernise and expand airport infrastructure, develop airport-city projects and strengthen passenger and non-aeronautical services. Adani Airports aims to increase its annual passenger-handling capacity from around 120 million to 200 million over the next five years.
The development provided a positive trigger for Adani Enterprises, with the stock gaining around 5% on Wednesday after the announcement. The company will retain controlling ownership of the airport business despite the stake sale.
Adani Enterprises also reported strong Q1 FY27 performance, with total income rising 50% YoY to ₹33,546 crore and EBITDA increasing 49% to ₹5,642 crore. Continued growth in airports, copper, renewables and data centres could support the company’s long-term growth outlook, while investors will monitor execution and funding requirements.#StockInNews
