BlueStone Jewellery and Lifestyle shares surged 20 percent to hit the upper circuit on Tuesday after the company reported a turnaround to profitability in the June quarter, supported by robust revenue growth. The Bengaluru-based jewellery retailer posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 5.96 crore in the first quarter of FY27, compared with a net loss of Rs 34.74 crore in the same period last year. Total income climbed 49 percent year-on-year to Rs 751.81 crore during the April–June quarter from Rs 504.74 crore a year earlier, according to the company's exchange filing. Meanwhile, total expenses rose to Rs 744.82 crore from Rs 538.45 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The company said the strong performance came despite the increase in customs duty on gold from 6 percent to 15 percent. During the quarter, BlueStone expanded its retail footprint to 352 stores across 139 cities, entering five new Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities as part of its growth strategy.
