KARAMTARA ENGINEERING MAKES STRONG MARKET DEBUT

PKTEA
Karamtara Engineering shares made a strong debut on Thursday, listing at nearly a 26% premium to their IPO price. The company’s ₹875-crore initial public offering was subscribed more than 62 times during the September 9–11 bidding period. On the NSE, the stock opened at ₹320 per share, representing a 25.98% premium over the IPO price band of ₹241–254. The listing performance also surpassed grey-market expectations, which had indicated a potential gain of around 15–18%. Analysts said the strong debut reinforces Karamtara Engineering’s positioning in the renewable-energy and solar-structures segment, supported by healthy growth, margins and IPO-led deleveraging. However, the stock’s premium valuation could limit near-term upside. Short-term investors may consider booking gains during periods of strength, while long-term investors could remain invested while keeping in mind potential corrections linked to sectoral capex cycles. A suggested stop-loss level is ₹290 to guard against a valuation-led correction.
