Nestle India PROFIT JUMPS 36 PERCENT YEAR-ON-YEar

NESTLEIND
Nestlé India reported a 35.9% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September 2026, while revenue from operations grew 20.3%. Despite the strong financial performance, the company's shares fell nearly 7% after management highlighted rising inflation, particularly in food prices, and persistent commodity cost pressures. On a standalone basis, net profit surged 36.2% year-on-year, exceeding estimate of ₹1,018 crore. Revenue from operations rose 20.3%, broadly matching the market estimate of ₹6,789 crore. Nestlé India Chairman and Managing Director Manish Tiwary said the company delivered broad-based growth across its product categories, driven by robust double-digit volume growth. Total sales increased 20.5%, while domestic sales registered a growth of 20.4%. The company's e-commerce business continued to perform strongly, supported by sustained momentum in quick commerce, better product availability and channel-specific offerings. Organised retail also recorded healthy growth across key categories, driven by improved in-store execution, consumer promotions and expansion of its retail network. Nestlé India's out-of-home business benefited from innovation and premiumisation across its beverage and food portfolios. Meanwhile, exports maintained strong double-digit growth, supported by new product launches and expansion into international markets. Despite strong earnings and broad-based sales growth, concerns over food inflation and continued pressure on commodity costs weighed on investor sentiment, leading to a sharp decline in the company's share price.
