Avenue Supermarts (DMart) – Pre-Earnings Outlook

Avenue Supermarts is expected to announce its June quarter results on 11 July. The market expects earnings of around ₹13.97 per share and revenue of nearly ₹18,585 crore. While the company has already reported healthy sales growth, it was slightly below market expectations, which kept investor sentiment cautious. The stock is currently trading on a weak chart. It is below all its major moving averages, showing that buyers are yet to regain control. Momentum is also weak, with immediate support around ₹4,000, while ₹4,150–4,200 remains a key resistance zone. A close above this range could improve the outlook, while a fall below ₹4,000 may invite further selling. This quarter, investors will closely watch profit growth, operating margins, store expansion, and management's outlook for the coming quarters. If the company reports better-than-expected profits, improved margins, and gives a positive business outlook, the stock could see a strong recovery. However, if profits disappoint or management remains cautious, the stock may continue to face pressure. Looking at past earnings, DMart has often seen sharp price moves after results. Even when sales were strong, the stock has corrected if profitability fell short of expectations. Overall, the upcoming results are likely to be a key trigger, and the management's commentary may have a bigger impact than the headline numbers.
