CDSL - CHART ANALYSIS
CDSL shares surged over 6% in the latest session, supported by strong volumes and renewed buying interest in capital market stocks. The rally comes amid improving sentiment in the broader market, a pickup in demat account additions as retail participation recovers, and optimism around a healthy IPO pipeline, all of which could support transaction volumes for depositories in the coming quarters. Investors are also tracking the upcoming dividend record date, which has kept the stock in focus.
From a technical perspective, the stock has delivered a decisive breakout above the ₹1,390-1,400 resistance zone and also closed above its 200-day moving average, a positive sign for the long-term trend. Short-term moving averages are aligned in bullish order, while the MACD has remained in positive territory, indicating strengthening momentum. RSI has moved close to the overbought zone, suggesting that although the trend remains positive, some profit booking or consolidation after the sharp one-day rally cannot be ruled out.
Immediate support is now placed around ₹1,390-1,400, followed by ₹1,350. As long as the stock sustains above these levels, the broader structure remains constructive. On the upside, a sustained move above ₹1,445 could open the door towards the ₹1,500-1,550 zone over the coming sessions.
Overall, CDSL's technical picture has improved significantly after the breakout. However, after a sharp 6% single-day move, investors should watch whether the stock is able to hold above its breakout zone, as this would confirm the strength of the ongoing uptrend.
