Global & India Macro Snapshot – Key Highlights

1. WTO Trade Softens Global goods trade lost momentum (101.8 vs 102.2). India Impact: Slight pressure on exports; supports India’s strategy of diversifying markets and boosting domestic demand. 2. China PMI Still in Contraction PMI at 49.2 for the 8th month of contraction. India Impact: Positive for India’s export competitiveness and commodity costs, but weak China demand may hurt metal/chemical exports. 3. Germany Inflation Rises CPI up to 2.6% YoY; core at 2.7%.
