GMRAIRPORT: On the Runway for Long-Term Growth?

Company Overview:

GMRAIRPORT
operates Delhi and Hyderabad airports under PPP and holds global stakes in Greece, the Philippines, and Indonesia. Revenues stem from passenger traffic, cargo, duty-free, F&B, MRO, and real estate projects like Aerocity. Performance: With a ₹97,000 crore market cap, the stock trades near ₹93—sharply up from its Feb 2025 low of ₹68 but below its 52-week high of ₹100. Despite ₹10,400 crore annual revenue, it remains in loss with high debt and negative EPS. Promoter holding is over 66%, and FIIs are gradually increasing their stake. Recent Updates: GMR plans a ₹2,500 crore bond issue to refinance debt and boost infra. Challenges include delays at Delhi IGI and regulatory hurdles over airspace. Still, the firm is expanding with the Greece Crete airport and Aerocity plans in full swing. Chart Analysis: Price is trading above key moving averages with a bullish cup-and-handle breakout on daily charts. A break above ₹95 can open doors to ₹100.50, ₹108, and ₹122. Supports are at ₹88–₹87 and ₹85. RSI, MACD, and volume trends show bullish strength unless ₹85 breaks. Conclusion: GMR Airports stands out for its long-term growth via air traffic, monetizable real estate, and global expansion. Risks from debt and regulation remain, but technically the stock is well-positioned. Investors may consider buying on dips; traders can eye breakout above ₹95.
