Laurus Labs – Q1 FY27 Result & Technical Outlook
$LAURUSLABS surged nearly 7% after reporting a strong set of Q1 FY27 numbers, which were well ahead of market expectations. The company reported 29% YoY revenue growth to ₹2,026 crore, while PAT jumped around 124-126% YoY to ₹362-368 crore. EBITDA rose to ₹644 crore, with the EBITDA margin expanding to 31.8% from 24.8% last year. The biggest positive came from the CDMO business, where revenue grew around 67% YoY, while the Generics business also delivered healthy growth. Management indicated that its expansion plans remain on track, reinforcing confidence in future earnings growth. Technically, the stock has confirmed a fresh breakout to a new lifetime high with strong bullish momentum. On the daily chart, Laurus Labs is trading comfortably above its 20, 50, 100 and 200-day moving averages, highlighting a strong long-term uptrend. The breakout is supported by expanding Bollinger Bands, suggesting increasing momentum, while the RSI has moved above 75, indicating strong buying strength. Although the stock looks overbought in the short term, such readings are common during powerful trending moves. After today's sharp rally, some profit booking or consolidation around ₹1,650-1,700 cannot be ruled out. However, as long as the stock sustains above the ₹1,590-1,600 support zone, the overall trend remains positive. From a positional perspective, the next upside levels to watch are ₹1,800, followed by ₹1,900-1,950 over the coming 2-3 months, provided the stock holds above key support levels and broader market sentiment remains supportive. The combination of strong earnings, improving margins, robust CDMO growth, and a confirmed technical breakout keeps the medium-term outlook constructive.
