LT - Expectations
Larsen & Toubro is expected to post a more than 3% year-on-year increase in fourth-quarter profit, supported by sustained government infrastructure spending and robust order inflows, particularly from the Middle East. India’s largest construction company’s revenue is likely to climb 14% for the quarter ended March, on back of strong execution in its projects and manufacturing segment. However, gains in profit may be capped due to muted performance of its subsidiaries — L&T Technology Services and LTIMindtree — amid a broader slowdown in global IT spending.
