Market Cues for Today

Global sentiment remains weak after a sharp sell-off on Wall Street, where major U.S. indices declined 1.6–2.3%, led by tech stocks amid concerns of AI overvaluation. Asian markets opened lower, reflecting the overnight risk-off tone. Domestically, Nifty slipped over 200 points from the day’s high yesterday. The Bihar election outcome is the key trigger today, with early trends showing the NDA in the lead. Gift Nifty is down about 50 points at open but has recovered from early lows. Flows & Derivatives Setup FIIs sold ₹384 crore in the cash market, while DIIs provided strong support with ₹3,092 crore of buying. In index futures, FIIs covered 3,300 short contracts, but positioning remains extremely bearish with <12% longs and >88% shorts. Key Nifty Levels Resistance: 26,010 (yesterday’s high), 26,104 (October series high) Support: 25,750, with 20-DMA acting as trend support Stocks to Watch

GMRAIRPORT
– Swings to net profit from a loss.
JUBLFOOD
– EBITDA up 19.5%; Domino’s LFL growth at 9.1%. Vishal Mega Mart – Strong quarter; EBITDA +31%, revenue +22%. KRBL – EBITDA up 84.5%; margins rise to 15% from 10% YoY. PG Electroplast – EBITDA & margins below estimates; guidance unchanged.
VOLTAS
– Weak quarter; EBITDA down 57%, margin drops to 3%. Bharat Dynamics – EBITDA up 90%; bags ₹2,100 crore defence order.
