🌅 Market Setup – 16th October 2025

Indian equities look set for a steady start after a strong session yesterday, with Nifty closing above 25,300 and GIFT Nifty indicating a 40-point positive open. Global Cues Wall Street ended higher overnight – S&P 500 up 0.4%, Nasdaq up 0.66%, supported by strong tech earnings and softer US yields. Oil prices slipped to 4-month lows near $62, offering relief on the inflation front, while Gold extended its record run to $4,250 amid safe-haven demand. Political focus intensified after Donald Trump said PM Modi assured he won’t buy oil from Russia, signaling geopolitical alignment. Flows & Derivatives In the cash market, FIIs bought ₹68 Cr, while DIIs were strong buyers at ₹4,650 Cr, indicating sustained domestic support. In F&O, FIIs bought ₹1,008 Cr in index futures, covering over 3,100 short contracts. Despite that, their positioning remains cautious with only 8% longs. Options data indicates a range of 25,250–25,500 for Nifty. Stocks in Focus
