Global Cues US markets ended higher on Friday: Dow +0.65%, S&P 500 +0.59%, Nasdaq +0.44%, snapping a 3-day losing streak. Core PCE (US Fed’s preferred inflation gauge) rose 2.9% YoY in Aug, in line with estimates. US 10Y yield steady at 4.18%, Dollar Index at 98, Brent crude around $69.5. GIFT Nifty Trading +90 pts at 24,794, indicating a firm start (125 pts higher). Domestic Snapshot Nifty: Losing streak extends to 6 sessions, now ~800 pts off recent 25,450 peak. Key question: Will oversold conditions trigger a bounce? Expiry & RBI cues: Sep series expiry tomorrow; RBI MPC outcome on Oct 1. Ind-US trade deal commentary remains a potential sentiment mover. FII Flows FIIs net sold $2 bn in cash last week; Friday selling at ₹5,687 Cr. Index Futures: Net short addition of 19,067 contracts; sold ₹3,589 Cr. Long exposure at just 14%, showing strong bearish positioning. Options Data Support: 24,450 – 24,550 zone. Resistance / congestion: 24,800 – 24,850. PCR at 0.63 (vs 0.68 earlier), suggesting oversold but cautious sentiment. Key technical marker: Nifty 200 DEMA near 24,400 — bulls watching closely.
