🌅 Morning Market Report | 7th October 2025
Wall Street kicked off the week on a strong note — S&P 500 gained 0.36% and the Nasdaq added 0.71%, both closing at fresh all-time highs. The S&P 500 marked its 32nd record close of 2025, reflecting sustained investor optimism despite ongoing concerns over the U.S. government shutdown, now stretching into its second week.
Global cues remain mildly positive, though GIFT Nifty is down 15 points at 25,150, indicating a flat-to-negative start for domestic markets.
Bond yields edged higher, with the U.S. 10-year yield up 4 bps to 4.16%, while Brent Crude slipped to $65.5 — a positive sign for India’s import bill. The Dollar Index eased slightly to 98.1, supporting emerging-market flows.
All eyes today will be on Fed Atlanta President Raphael Bostic’s speech, which could offer fresh clues on the Fed’s stance going into Q4.
