SAIL - Technical Outlook

SAIL
has staged a strong recovery from the ₹158–160 support zone and has reclaimed all its key short-term moving averages (10, 20, 50 and 100 EMA/SMA), indicating improving bullish momentum. The stock is currently trading around ₹173.5, well above its 200-day SMA (~₹158.6), confirming that the long-term trend remains positive. The recent breakout above the short-term consolidation zone suggests fresh buying interest, while the moving averages are beginning to align in a bullish manner. On the momentum front, RSI has climbed above 55 and is trending higher, reflecting strengthening buying momentum without entering the overbought zone. The stock has also moved back above the middle Bollinger Band and is attempting to expand towards the upper band, indicating the possibility of further upside if buying continues. Price action shows the formation of a higher low, which strengthens the bullish structure after the recent correction from ₹200. Going ahead, ₹171–168 will act as the immediate support zone. As long as the stock sustains above this range, the positive bias is likely to remain intact. On the upside, ₹182 is the first resistance, followed by ₹190–200, where stronger selling pressure may emerge. A decisive close above ₹182 could trigger fresh momentum towards these higher levels. Overall, the technical setup has improved considerably after the recent pullback, and the stock appears well-positioned for a gradual upward move over the next 6–8 weeks, provided it continues to hold above the key support zone.
