Vodafone Idea (IDEA) – Technical & Fundamental Outlook

IDEA
closed at ₹15.19, gaining nearly 8% and showing a strong bullish breakout on the daily chart. The stock has moved above its 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200-day moving averages, indicating a strong improvement in the overall trend. The 10-EMA stands at ₹14.05, 20-EMA at ₹13.76, 50-EMA at ₹13.53, 100-SMA at ₹12.79 and 200-SMA at ₹11.70. RSI has risen to 72.72, confirming strong momentum, although the overbought reading suggests some profit booking cannot be ruled out. Fundamentally, sentiment has improved with Q1 FY27 revenue rising 6% YoY to ₹11,689 crore and losses narrowing to ₹3,754 crore. ARPU increased 10.2% YoY to ₹195, while 4G/5G subscribers reached 130.1 million. The company has also expanded 5G services to more than 200 cities. Funding and network expansion remain key catalysts. Vi has raised ₹6,400 crore and placed around ₹9,000 crore of network-capex orders under its planned ₹45,000 crore three-year investment programme. Progress on additional funding and continued subscriber/ARPU improvement will remain important triggers. Key Levels Resistance: ₹15.30–₹15.50 Targets above ₹15.50: ₹16.00 / ₹16.50 Support: ₹14.60–₹14.80 Major Support: ₹14.05–₹13.75 Outlook The bias remains bullish above ₹14.60–₹14.80. A sustained breakout above ₹15.50 can trigger the next leg of the upmove towards ₹16.00–₹16.50. Given RSI above 70, traders should avoid chasing the stock and prefer buying on dips or a confirmed breakout. Overall View: Bullish. Disclosure: The analyst does not have any interest or position in the recommended security/instrument.
