The company announced a massive investment of about ₹6,000 crore to set up a new manufacturing hub near the Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh. This facility will focus on electronics, PCBs, and home appliances, marking a major step in Amber’s diversification beyond air conditioners.
Additionally, Amber is developing a copper laminate manufacturing plant in Mysuru worth around ₹800 crore to strengthen its backward integration in components.
🔹 Fundraising Activity
The board has approved plans to raise up to ₹2,500 crore through various financial instruments to support expansion and debt reduction. Its subsidiary, ILJIN Electronics, is also in the process of raising ₹1,200 crore from investors to boost its electronics manufacturing services (EMS) capacity.
🔹 Strategic Moves
Amber has expanded internationally by acquiring about 40% in Unitronics (Israel), a company specializing in industrial automation. This move is aimed at enhancing its global presence and capabilities in automation and high-value electronics.
