🔹 Sales and Demand Trends

ASHOKLEY
🔹 Sales and Demand Trends Domestic wholesale vehicle sales grew about 3% recently, showing steady performance despite broader economic headwinds. The medium and heavy commercial vehicle (MHCV) segment continues to be the company’s core strength, while the light commercial vehicle (LCV) business is also gradually gaining traction. The company expects demand to pick up in the coming quarters, supported by infrastructure projects, construction activity, and replacement demand from fleet operators. 🔹 Expansion and Network Growth Ashok Leyland is expanding its dealership and service network across India, especially in North India, where it plans to add more than 50 new touchpoints. This move aims to strengthen after-sales support and improve customer accessibility in regions where its market share is relatively lower. 🔹 Electric Mobility and Battery Investments A major strategic development is the company’s plan to invest heavily in the battery ecosystem for electric commercial vehicles. It is setting up a multi-year project to manufacture advanced battery packs in India, targeting operations to begin around 2027. This aligns with its long-term vision to become a key player in the electric truck and bus segment.
