BAJAJ-AUTO
📊 Financial & Operational Performance In Q1 FY26, Bajaj Auto’s net profit rose by about 14% year-on-year to around ₹2,200 crore, with revenue growing by roughly 10%. Total vehicle sales stood at about 11.1 lakh units for the quarter, almost flat compared to last year. Domestic sales declined, but exports grew strongly, cushioning the overall performance. For FY25, domestic two-wheeler sales grew modestly, while exports surged by double digits, reinforcing Bajaj’s strong global presence. 🔋 Electric Vehicles & Expansion Bajaj is heavily investing in its EV business, with about 60% of its FY26 capital expenditure allocated to electric vehicles. The Chetak e-scooter achieved record sales, crossing 2.3 lakh units in FY25, more than doubling compared to the previous year. In March 2025 alone, it sold nearly 35,000 units, making it India’s top-selling electric scooter that month. 🌍 Strategic Moves Bajaj Auto is preparing to take control of KTM AG (Austria) through a call-option deal, which would give it a controlling stake via its joint venture. Following GST 2.0 tax rationalisation, Bajaj announced price cuts across two-wheelers and three-wheelers, effective September 2025, to pass on benefits to customers.
