In Q1 FY26 (quarter ending June 2025), Colgate-Palmolive India’s net profit fell by about 12% compared to the same quarter last year, impacted by weaker demand in urban areas and competitive pressure. Their operating revenue also declined (≈ 4.4%) year-on-year in that quarter. Earlier, in Q4 FY25 (ending March 2025), the company saw a ≈ 6.5% drop in net profit and a slight fall in revenues, citing softer urban demand and rising costs. The stock has been under pressure: it’s down ~15% over the last three months amid negative sentiment around demand trends. Analysts point to urban demand slowdown, a strong base effect (i.e. last year was a strong comparison), and cost pressures as key risks ahead. Some brokerages have cut price targets but maintained positive/recommendation stances (i.e. “Buy”) with revised estimates. 🏭 Business & Strategy Updates The company has adjusted the MRPs of some of its products in view of changes in GST slabs (effective September 2025). Colgate India continues to push its social impact and oral health initiatives: for example, it partnered in a program (“Project Dr. YSR Chirunavvu”) in Andhra Pradesh to improve oral health awareness among school children. On the global front, the parent company has earmarked about USD 300 million for supply chain improvements and efficiency gains to mitigate rising input, logistics, and inflationary pressures.
