Bharat Forge Acquires 90% Stake in RS Aerostructures for ₹36 Crore

Bharat Forge Limited, through its wholly-owned subsidiary BF Industrial Solutions Limited (BFISL), has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a 90% stake in RS Aerostructures Limited, a Bengaluru-based aerospace specialist, for up to ₹36 crore in cash. The transaction is expected to close within 45 days and requires no external regulatory approvals. RS Aerostructures, incorporated in January 2026, specializes in the assembly, riveting, and maintenance of aerostructures and components. The acquisition strengthens Bharat Forge's capabilities in the high-growth aerospace sector and expands its manufacturing footprint in South India, a key hub for India's defense and civil aviation ecosystem. Strategically, the deal aligns with Bharat Forge's diversification beyond automotive forgings into precision engineering and aerospace manufacturing. By integrating RS Aerostructures' niche expertise, Bharat Forge aims to enhance its product portfolio, deepen customer relationships, and capture emerging opportunities in India's expanding aerospace supply chain under initiatives like Atmanirbhar Bharat. This step-down subsidiary will serve as a dedicated platform for aerostructure assembly, supporting Bharat Forge's long-term vision to become a leading tier-1 supplier to global aerospace OEMs.
