Syrma SGS Technology Acquires 60% Stake in Elcome Integrated Systems for ₹235 Crore
Syrma SGS Technology Limited has made a strategic entry into the defence and aerospace electronics segment by acquiring a 60% stake in Elcome Integrated Systems for ₹235 crore, marking the first tranche of its investment.
Elcome, with over five decades of experience, is a trusted supplier of navigation, communication, and surveillance systems to India’s armed forces and paramilitary units.
The acquisition supports Syrma’s vertical integration strategy and expands its footprint beyond automotive and industrial electronics. The tranche-based deal structure allows Syrma to secure immediate control while retaining flexibility for future investments.
This move strengthens Syrma’s position as a leading Indian EMS player, enabling access to high-margin defence contracts and advanced R&D capabilities. It underscores the company’s aggressive growth strategy and commitment to diversifying into niche, technology-driven sectors.
