NHPC
Showing Weakness After Consolidation – Further Decline Possible Towards ₹82

On 22nd July 2025, the stock price of

NHPC
closed below its 20-day moving average, which is considered a sign of weakness in the short term. On the same day, the stock declined by 0.74%, indicating selling pressure. Additionally, a bearish crossover has been observed as the 5-day moving average crossed below the 20-day moving average. This crossover further strengthens the possibility of a downward trend in the coming days. Earlier, on 8th July 2025, the stock had shown strong upward movement with a gain of 4.17%. However, after that rise, the stock entered into a consolidation phase where it moved in a narrow range without clear direction. Now, with recent weakness and technical signals turning negative, the stock may continue to fall. If the decline continues, the next important support level could be the 200-day moving average, which is currently near ₹82. This level might act as a cushion for the price, but if it breaks, further downside cannot be ruled out. Overall, the current chart setup suggests caution, and investors should wait for a clear reversal before making fresh buying decisions.
