Bank Nifty at Critical Support: Bounce or Breakdown?
!banknifty Bank Nifty at Critical Support: Bounce, Stabilisation or Breakdown? After an extended period of weakness, Bank Nifty is approaching major support zones on the weekly charts. Bank Nifty: Long-Term Trendline Test The index is approaching a long-term rising trendline that has connected important lows over several years. The key area is approximately: 53,700–54,200 This makes the current level technically significant. If the trendline continues to hold, Bank Nifty could attempt a recovery toward: 55,000 to 55,400–56,000 then 57,000–57,500 However, the recovery needs confirmation. A sustained move above 55,400–56,000 would make the structure considerably more constructive. Conversely, a decisive breakdown below the trendline and the 54000 region would weaken the setup and could bring 53,500 and 52,000 into focus. The important question is not: “Has the market bottomed❔” It is: “Will support hold and will price action confirm a reversal ❔ ” I am watching: Bank Nifty ➡️ 53,700–54,200 Bank Nifty recovery ➡️ 55,000 ➡️ 55,400–56,000 Support → Stabilisation → Confirmation I have shared my complete weekly-chart analysis of indices in the article. That is the framework I would follow. The current environment also remains challenging, with foreign selling, elevated crude prices and global bond-yield pressures weighing on sentiment. Therefore, discipline matters more than prediction. A falling market can become attractive near support — but support is a level to observe, not a reason to blindly buy.
