AUROBINDO PHARMA LAUNCHES GENERIC DRUG IN US

, through it's subsidiary Lannett Company, has launched generic Advair Diskus in the US, making it the first complex inhalation product by the company to be marketed there. This market is worth approximately $908 million. This launch marks the first product from the inhalation pipeline to be commercialised in the US, reflecting the company’s focus on expanding it's portfolio of complex inhalation products. Moreover, Cipla's US branch has also obtained FDA approval for the same product, setting the stage for an exciting competition in respiratory treatments. Advair Diskus is originally a product of GSK plc and in combination therapy is indicated for the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
