HINDUSTAN PETROLEUM STARTS RESIDUE UPGRADATION FACILITY AT VISAKH REFINERY

HINDPETRO
has started operations at the residue upgradation facility (RUF) at its Visakh Refinery in Andhra Pradesh. The newly commissioned facility has a capacity of 3.55 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) and uses advanced LC-Max-based residue hydrocracking technology, allowing for the conversion of approximately 93% of low-value oils into high-value petroleum products. This project is India’s first residue hydrocracking unit and the first global deployment of LC-Max technology at such a scale. With a market cap of Rs 93,613 crore, the company's stock is trading at an attractive P/E of 6.81 making it a valuable buy for long term investment.
