has added a new line of ready-made fibre optic cables to its Neuralis data centre product range. The new cables come in sizes carrying between 48 and 6,912 individual optical fibres and is aimed at large data centres which are seeing a sharp rise in the volume of data they need to move. The cable ends already come fitted with connectors from the factory, so engineers can plug them in on site rather than fitting connectors by hand. Every cable is tested before leaving the factory, with higher-performance connector options available for customers who want lower signal loss. The cables use a patented technology that colour-codes the fibres to make them easier to identify and splice together during installation.
