Solar Industries Announces ₹12,951 Crore Acquisition

Solar Industries India has announced a major international expansion through an agreement to acquire 100% of South Africa-based Omnia Holdings for approximately ₹12,951 crore. The all-cash transaction, valued at about $1.355 billion, will be completed through Solar’s subsidiaries and remains subject to regulatory, statutory and competition approvals. Omnia operates across 23 countries and has a strong presence in mining chemicals and blasting solutions through its BME business. The acquisition will significantly expand Solar Industries’ international footprint while adding advanced technologies, manufacturing capabilities and access to new mining markets. Omnia serves customers across more than 40 countries and reported revenue of around $1.41 billion in FY26. Solar said the transaction is expected to strengthen its position as an integrated global blasting-solutions provider and improve its access to key international markets. The deal is expected to be completed by early to mid-2027, subject to the required approvals.
