Jain Irrigation Systems Wins ₹135 Crore Solar Pump Project!

Jain Irrigation Systems will be in focus on August 14 after securing a major order worth ₹135 crore plus GST from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). The order covers the design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing, and commissioning of 5,438 off-grid DC solar water pumping systems in capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP across various districts of Maharashtra. This development follows the successful execution of Phase I of the scheme in December 2024, when the company installed 4,180 solar pumps valued at ₹103 crore. The new order further strengthens Jain Irrigation’s position in the solar water pumping solutions segment. In Q1 FY26, the company posted a profit of ₹11.2 crore, down 8.5% from ₹12.2 crore in the same quarter last year. However, total income improved by 4.6%, reaching ₹1,545.6 crore compared to ₹1,477.9 crore a year ago. On the market front, Jain Irrigation’s share closed the previous session at ₹46.41, down 0.60%. The stock is currently trading 36.65% below its 52-week high of ₹83.35 (21 Jan 2025) and 16.92% above its 52-week low of ₹45.16 (07 Aug 2025). With a market capitalisation of ₹89.54 crore, the stock has declined 29% over the last six months. While this fresh order is a positive for future revenues, the market’s reaction will also depend on project execution and broader financial performance.
