NTPC Declares Commercial Operation of Over 288 MW in Khavda Solar Projects

In a significant boost to India’s renewable energy sector, NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, announced the declaration of commercial operations (COD) for two major solar energy capacities at the Khavda site in Gujarat, effective from midnight on June 28, 2025. The first phase includes **142.2 MW** from the 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project under the **450 MW Hybrid Tranche V Project**. The second declaration covers **146.7 MW** from the **1255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project**. Both projects are being developed by **NTPC Renewable Energy Limited**, a step-down subsidiary of NTPC Limited. These declarations mark a continued commitment from NTPC towards expanding its clean energy portfolio and contributing to India’s ambitious green energy goals.
