Tata Communications Reaches Agreement with Canadian Tax Authorities

Tata Communications Limited has announced that its subsidiary, Tata Communications (Canada) Ltd., has reached an agreement in principle with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to resolve a long-standing tax dispute. The matter pertained to transfer pricing adjustments where the CRA proposed using the Profit Split Method for support services in the signaling business. The formal settlement documentation, including a partial consent to judgment, is currently being drafted. An update will be submitted to the Tax Court of Canada by September 15, 2025. The company confirmed that there is no material financial impact expected from the settlement.
