๐ VECV May Sales Rise 7.8% YoY; Domestic CV Demand Continues to Drive Growth
๐ VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a subsidiary of Eicher Motors, reported total sales of 7,978 units in May 2026, registering a 7.8% year-on-year growth compared to 7,401 units in the corresponding period last year.
๐ The company's domestic business remained the key growth driver, with total domestic sales increasing 9.1% YoY to 7,375 units. Growth was led by the SCV/LMD Truck segment, which surged 16.1% YoY, while Heavy Duty Truck volumes grew 7.9% YoY.
๐ On the export front, sales declined 17.2% YoY to 414 units, reflecting continued weakness in overseas markets. However, export HD truck sales stood out with a robust 31.2% YoY growth.
๐ Meanwhile, the Volvo Trucks & Buses business delivered a strong performance, recording 32.2% YoY growth to 189 units.
