SBI unit to sell up to 1% stake in NSE public offering
SBI is set to cross a ₹10 trillion mortgage portfolio this quarter, reinforcing its leadership with a 28% market share in home loans. Chairman CS Setty attributes growth to accessible loan processing, customer trust, and transparency. SBI is also exploring home loan securitisation to boost funding and aims for one transaction this year to further expand lending capacity.
SBIN and its subsidiary SBI Capital Markets will together dilute up to 1% stake in the National Stock Exchange (NSE) through its Rs 30,000-crore IPO, with SBI divesting 0.65% and SBI Capital Markets 0.35%. Additionally, SBI’s home loan portfolio is projected to cross Rs 10 lakh crore this quarter, maintaining its market leadership.
