L&T Wins Major ₹2,500–5,000 Crore ONGC Offshore Order

LT
Larsen & Toubro’s Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore division has secured a major EPCIC contract from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for offshore work on India’s west coast. The order falls under L&T’s “large” project category, with an estimated value of ₹2,500–5,000 crore. The project involves the Additional Development of Ratna-I (ADR-I) and NLM-14 offshore fields. The scope includes construction of three new well-head platforms and one riser platform, along with subsea pipelines, cables and modifications to existing offshore facilities. The contract is intended to support production from ONGC’s established offshore assets. L&T’s offshore business will undertake engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning activities as part of the project. Investor Takeaway: The order could strengthen L&T’s offshore infrastructure order book and provide additional revenue visibility over the execution period. It also highlights the company’s continued participation in India’s energy-infrastructure development. However, the reported order value is an estimated range, not a precise disclosed contract amount. The actual financial contribution will depend on execution, project milestones and the company’s recognition of revenue over time.
