BEML: UNVEILS INDIA’S FIRST INDIGENOUS 60-TON ELECTRIC DUMP TRUCK

• BEML Limited has unveiled the BH60-EV, an indigenously designed and developed 60-ton electric dump truck, at its Mysuru Complex. • The vehicle features an advanced electric powertrain, zero tailpipe emissions and a high payload capacity, targeting mining and infrastructure applications. • The BH60-EV is estimated to reduce around 130 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually per vehicle. • BEML estimates 40–60% lower operating costs compared with conventional diesel-powered equipment. • Key specifications include a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, 1,000 kWh high-voltage lithium-ion battery pack and 54,500 kg payload capacity.
