JUPITER WAGONS: WINS BESS ORDERS; TARGETS ₹1,000 CRORE ORDER BOOK BY FY27

• Jupiter Wagons’ energy business, JEM Energy, has won a 41 MW/102.5 MWh BESS project from Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL).
• JEM Energy, in a JV with Madhav Infra Projects Ltd, was the L1 bidder for Cluster C, with the project involving supply and commissioning of a BESS system worth approximately ₹100 crore.
• Jupiter Wagons has also received a Letter of Award (LoA) from West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (WBSEDCL) for a 50 MW/200 MWh BESS project at Jeerat.
• MD Vivek Lohia reiterated the company’s target of building a BESS order book of around ₹1,000 crore by FY27.
• Management expects Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM) to turn EBITDA positive in Q3 FY27 and become profitable by FY28.
Impact: Positive — The BESS order wins strengthen Jupiter Wagons’ presence in the fast-growing energy-storage segment and support its strategy of diversifying beyond its traditional railway-focused business.
