The outperformance of technology stocks suggests selective accumulation in large-cap IT names, while defensive sectors such as healthcare and consumer staples also witnessed steady buying interest. On the downside, selling pressure was led by Eternal Limited (−2.47%), followed by Bajaj Finance (−2.00%), Mahindra & Mahindra (−2.00%), Shriram Finance (−1.93%), and Bajaj Auto (−1.63%), reflecting weakness across financials and automobile stocks. The market action indicates a sectoral rotation toward defensive and technology names, while investors booked profits in select financial and auto heavyweights.
