Power Grid Corporation declared as successful bidder
Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID) has been declared as successful bidder under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding to establish Inter-State Transmission System for the project namely ‘Transmission system for Integration of Power from RE Projects in Jam Khambhaliya REZ in Gujarat - Phase II (5500MW) and Jamnagar Phase-I (1000 MW)’ on Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis, at a discovered tariff of Rs 822.91 crore per annum. The Letter of Intent (LoI) has been received by POWERGRID on August 21, 2026. The project involves the establishment of a new GIS substation at Kalyanpur (Gujarat) along with ICT augmentation and bay extension works at under-construction substations in the state of Gujarat and the construction of a 765 kV transmission lines traversing the state of Gujarat. $POWERGRID Power Grid Corporation of India is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company headquartered in Gurgaon, India.
