CDSL looks structurally bullish both from a business + market positioning perspective, not just price action.

CDSL
CDSL looks structurally bullish due to its strong position in India’s duopoly depository space and the ongoing financialization of savings. As more retail investors enter the market through SIPs and digital platforms, Demat account growth continues to rise, directly benefiting CDSL’s core business. Its asset-light model and high operating leverage allow it to scale efficiently, leading to strong margins, consistent cash flows, and high return ratios. Additionally, diversified revenue streams from transaction charges, IPO-related activities, KYC services, and insurance repositories provide stability across market cycles. Even during bearish phases, the growing base of accounts remains intact, while bullish cycles significantly boost earnings. Although the stock trades at a premium valuation, it is justified by its monopoly-like characteristics and long-term growth visibility. Overall, unless there are major regulatory changes or a structural slowdown in retail participation, CDSL remains a compelling long-term play on India’s capital market expansion.
