Recent share performance and industry outlook reflect significant downside risks and structural challenges that temper near-term optimism.

DIXON
After a strong multi-year rally, the stock has slid sharply in 2025, trading down approximately 30-35% from peak levels and hitting multi-month lows, signaling sustained selling pressure and weakening investor confidence. Core business headwinds are intensifying. A large portion of Dixon’s revenue is concentrated in electronics manufacturing services (EMS) and smartphone assembly, segments that are cyclical and margin-sensitive. Broader market weakness in smartphone demand has materially affected volumes; for example, major client volumes from Motorola — which historically accounted for a substantial share of mobile revenues — declined significantly, exposing client concentration risk. Component cost inflation is pressuring margins. Rising memory and DRAM prices have squeezed low-end device margins, reducing pricing power in cost-competitive segments. Higher input costs without commensurate pricing support can erode gross margins, particularly in a low-margin EMS business. Valuation and sentiment are stretched. After rapid historical appreciation, valuations remain high relative to peers, which has invited profit-booking and deleveraging by both retail and institutional investors. Declining promoter shareholding and reduced FII participation further suggest a shift toward caution among larger holders. Analyst downgrades and slower earnings growth expectations add to bearish pressure. Global brokerages like Morgan Stanley have downgraded Dixon to Underweight, projecting slower EMS earnings growth and a price target implying potential downside from current levels, given competitive pressures and the likely expiration of sector incentives like the PLI scheme. Technical momentum is weak. Chart indicators show the stock trading below major moving averages with lower highs and lower lows — classic bearish price structure — and momentum oscillators such as RSI near oversold territory, suggesting short-term trend weakness.
