TRIDENT
The textile cycle may be cyclical. But Trident is building a business designed to capture more value across the entire chain.
Trident isn't just a towel company.
It operates across yarn, towels, bedsheets, paper and chemicals, with a vertically integrated manufacturing model that gives it control over a large part of the production chain. The company has a presence across 150+ countries and 6 continents. ξ
And Q1 FY27 showed signs of improvement.
Consolidated revenue rose 4.7% YoY to βΉ1,787 crore, while PAT increased nearly 13% to βΉ158 crore.
More importantly, PBT jumped 15% to βΉ216 crore.
But look underneath the headline number.
Yarn revenue β βΉ954 crore, +5.8%
Towels β βΉ639 crore
Bedsheets β βΉ303 crore
Paper & chemicals β βΉ297 crore, +14.5%
The strongest growth came from yarn and paper, while the paper & chemicals segment delivered a particularly healthy increase.
That's important because Trident doesn't have to depend on just one textile product.
The bigger opportunity is premiumisation + exports + brand building.
Trident has been expanding its branded home-textile presence through myTrident, while continuing to serve global customers across bath and bed linen.
And its manufacturing scale matters.
The company is one of the world's largest towel manufacturers and a major player in agro-based paper, using wheat straw as a key raw material.
Now add the macro tailwinds.
Indian manufacturing β global sourcing
Premium homes β better textile demand
Retail expansion β stronger brand
Export recovery β higher utilisation
Paper demand β diversification
That's the equation.
FY26 was still a challenging year β consolidated revenue declined about 4.1% to βΉ6,701 crore, although PAT increased 1.7% to βΉ377 crore.
So the turnaround isn't complete.#WatchOutFor
