Research Analyst: UJVIN NEVATIA (PROPRIETOR: NEVAT INVESTMENTS) | SEBI Registration No.: INH100009628 $HFCL reported a strong turnaround in the first quarter of FY27, posting a net profit of ₹229 crore against a net loss of ₹32.2 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations surged nearly 120% year-on-year to ₹1,915 crore, driven by robust demand for optical fibre cables and telecom equipment, particularly from data centre infrastructure projects. The company's performance was supported by rising demand for high-capacity optical fibre solutions used in AI-driven data centres, hyperscale cloud infrastructure, and telecom network expansion. HFCL also continued to strengthen its technology portfolio by approving the establishment of a dedicated data centre business unit, positioning itself to capitalize on the growing digital infrastructure market. The strong execution of its order book and higher contribution from value-added products further boosted operational performance. Industry & Economic Impact: HFCL's results reflect the accelerating investment cycle in India's telecom and digital infrastructure sectors.
