L&T wins mega power transmission orders worth up to ₹15,000 crore
Larsen & Toubro Limited's Power Transmission & Distribution business has secured multiple EPC orders classified as “mega”, with the combined value ranging between ₹10,000 crore and ₹15,000 crore.
The projects cover India, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. They include transmission and substation projects in Saudi Arabia, substations and cabling work in the UAE, and a transmission system in Visakhapatnam.
Why this matters
Large order wins strengthen L&T's revenue visibility and provide further evidence of spending on power transmission and renewable-energy infrastructure.
However, order value does not immediately translate into revenue or profit. Execution timelines, project margins, working capital and cost inflation remain important.
What to monitor next
Order-book growth and conversion into revenue.
EBITDA margins in the PT&D business.
Execution across international projects.
Working-capital requirements.
Further order inflows in infrastructure and energy.
My analytical view: The order win is strategically positive for L&T, but the quality of execution and eventual margins will matter more than the headline order value.
