Singapore authorities have recalled additional batches of infant and toddler milk formula after the detection of cereulide toxin, prompting warnings to parents not to use the affected products. The recall includes Nestlé NAN HA2 800g batch 52750017C1, manufactured in Switzerland, and Nature One Dairy Premium Toddler Milk Formula Stage 3 900g batch 326251110 produced in Australia. Parents and caregivers have been advised to stop using the affected products and dispose of them. The latest move takes the total number of recalled infant formula batches in Singapore to 11 since January 8. The recalled products involve brands such as Nestlé, Nature One Dairy and Dumex and account for about five percent of Singapore’s imported infant formula supply. Authorities said there have been no new illness cases linked to the recalled batches since January 30. Earlier, three mild cases suspected to be associated with cereulide exposure were reported, and all the affected children recovered. Officials noted that there are currently no definitive clinical laboratory tests to confirm cereulide poisoning. Nestlé had earlier withdrawn certain infant formula batches across several European countries including France, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Italy and Sweden after detecting a quality issue in an ingredient supplied by a vendor. The company said no illnesses related to those batches had been confirmed.
