🧬 Natco Pharma Gets USFDA Tentative Approval for Olaparib Tablets
Natco Pharma has received USFDA tentative approval for Olaparib Tablets (100 mg & 150 mg), the generic version of AstraZeneca's blockbuster cancer drug Lynparza. The company will manufacture the product, while its marketing partner Alembic Pharmaceuticals will distribute it in the U.S. The approval marks another important regulatory milestone for Natco's oncology portfolio and strengthens its presence in the high-value U.S. generics market. However, commercial launch is still subject to the outcome of the ongoing Para IV patent litigation and final regulatory approval. With the U.S. Olaparib market generating approximately US$1.4 billion in sales during the 12 months ended March 2026, the opportunity remains significant. If the legal hurdles are cleared, the product could become a meaningful contributor to Natco Pharma's future revenues.
