Kanohar Electricals Limited is an India-based domestic player in transformer manufacturing for industries, such as power transmission, railways, renewable energy, and power distribution. The Company operates its business in two segments: Transformer Manufacturing Business and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) Business. The Transformer Manufacturing Business includes power transformers, traction transformers, scott transformers, shunt reactors and distribution transformers. The EPC Business segment includes EPC solutions for substations and EPC solutions for transmission lines. Power transformers in the power transmission sector are used to step up or step-down voltage levels in electrical grids, enabling power transmission over long distances while minimizing energy losses. Traction transformers are used to supply power to electric trains by converting high voltage alternating current (AC) from the grid to the required voltage for railway electrification systems.

Peak XV Partners sold 9.17 crore shares of Billionbrains Garage Ventures, the parent company of Groww, for ₹1,756.2 crore through an open-market transaction. The deal involved a 1.46% stake and came as Groww's parent company shares declined nearly 4% in trade. Peak XV Partners Investments VI-1 sold the shares at ₹191.49 apiece, reducing part of its 15.68% holding in Billionbrains Garage Ventures. Separately, Groww Mutual Fund acquired 4.75 lakh shares of Kanohar Electricals, representing a 0.6% stake, for ₹35.2 crore at ₹740.38 per share. Kanohar Electricals shares gained nearly 19% to ₹751.50 on the NSE, compared with its issue price of ₹632.
