Aurobindo Pharma Signs Non-Exclusive License with MSD for Generic Alimatravir HIV Prevention Drug

$AUROPHARMA has signed a non-exclusive, royalty-free voluntary licensing agreement with MSD (Merck & Co.) to manufacture and supply generic alimatravir, an investigational once-monthly oral HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) medicine. The deal covers 129 low- and middle-income countries that account for the majority of new HIV diagnoses globally. The early licensing (before Phase 3 trial completion) aims to enable rapid scale-up and affordable access upon regulatory approval.
