Kotak Bank Appoints Anup Kumar Saha as New CEO

has appointed Anup Kumar Saha as its new Managing Director and CEO for a three-year term starting January 1, 2027. Saha will succeed Ashok Vaswani following approval from the Reserve Bank of India. Saha joined Kotak Mahindra Bank in January 2026 and currently serves as its Whole-time Director and Executive Director. He oversees the Retail Bank, Government Business, Data Analytics and Marketing functions. He brings more than 32 years of professional experience, including around 25 years in financial services. Before joining Kotak, Saha held senior leadership roles at Bajaj Finance, including Managing Director and CEO, and spent around 14 years at ICICI Bank across retail banking and related functions. His earlier experience also includes roles at GE Capital and Bharat Heavy Electricals.
